Sripad Raghunath Bhatta Goswami is one of the six Goswamis of Vrindavan in the Gaudiya Sampradaya. He is also known as Raag and Raas a manjari. Raghunath khyon phat, pura ya raga manjari (Sri Gaur Ganoddessa dipika)
Gooswami Sri Raghunath Bhattji was born in samvat 1562 at Rampur Vayoliya village (distt. Rajsahi) which is on the banks of river Padma.
He was born as a son of Sri Tapan Mishra who was Sriman Caitanya Mahaprabhu ji's loved parsad, reknowed scholar, God loving and a descendent of a religious brahmin family. When Sriman Caitanya Mahaprabhu ji was on his trip from Nilachal to Sri Vrindavan Dham in samvat 1572 his lordship stayed in Sri Tapan Misra's place for two months.it was at that time that Sri Raghunath Bhatta ji got the chance to be in service at the feet of the Lord and was fortunate to receive prasadam of Sriman Mahaprabhu. After his parents leave this material world, Sri Raghunnath Bhatta ji by instruction o Mahprabhu, took abstinence from the materialistic world to become a renounce and reached Nilachal in order to service Sri Caitanya mahaprabhu. He resided close to Mahaprabhu over six months, after that again by instruction of mahaprabhu he went to Sri Vrindavan Dham and resided in the Company of Sri Rup GoswamiPad, here he used to remain in a constant state of meditation, concentrating on the form , quialities and the characterisitics of Lord Sri Krsna and his beloved Srimati Radharani.
Since early childhhod Sri Raghunath Bhatta ji had Deep interest in the music and sanskrit scriptures and specially towards Srimad Bhagavat and kirtan recitation, therefore during his stay in Vrindavan he started de recitation on Srimad Bhagavat in the form of a song. He used to sing so soulfully and in a such a melodious voive that his recitation was tearfully savoured by all Vaisnavas saints included Sri Rup Goswamipad, trascending them into an ecstatic bless.
Sri Raghunath Bhtta ji” mood of worship , distingused scholarly capabilities , unparelled selflesness and extremly melodious recitation of srimad Bhagavat etc. Not only atracted the saints of Vrindavan even animals , deers, birds, equally .
Raghunath Bhatta ji was the first person to initiate a group singing style in which sri Krsna and his consort Sri Radha rani”s various lilas were described . hence he is considered as the master creator of this art of singing, and was folowed in almost all temples in Sri Vrindavan and recognized as “Saamaj Gayan.”
Gadadhar Bhatta ji
Later on his disciple Sri Gadadhar Bhatt ji maharaj made this style of group singing of lord”s various lilas and recitation of Srimad Bhagavat as the basis of his mode of meditation. He also put forwad an example in front of all Vaisnavas in Vrindavan and Followers of Sri Caitanya Mahaparbhu doing complete service to Sri Sri Radha Madhan Mohan ji by his own hands.
Sri Nabha das ji has given introduction of Goswami Sri Gadadhar Bhatt ji in his Bhaktama:
Sajjan suhridya súshil vachan aaraj pratipalya
Nirmatsar nihkaam kripa karuna ke aalay
Ananya bhajan dhradh karani dharayo vapu bhaktani kaajey
Param dham kau setu vidit vrindavan gaajey
Bhagwat sudha vaeshey vadan , kahu kau naahin dukhad
Gun nikar gadadhar bhatta , atti sabhin ko laagey sukhad

The devotional treasure of Gosawmi ji Gadadhar Bhatta maharaj was Sri Sri Radha Mohan . they appeared as a result of Sri Gadadhar Bhatta ji”s devotion and Deep meditation over the years from the sand of Banks of river Yamuna
This Sri Vigraha along with the Srimat Bhagwat was given to Raghunath Bhatta Goswami by Sriman Mahaprabhu, Caran paduka (wooden slippers) of Sri Raghunath Bhatta ji Sri gadadhar Bhatta ji and Sri Govardhan Bhatta ji.
And are being serviced by direct descendants of Sri Gadadhara Bhatta ji By their own hands in the same sistematic mode of service that was adopted by Goswami Sri gadadhar Bhatta.
